The practice of winter sports
Winter sports often rhyme with skiing. And yet, even if board sports such as skiing and snowboarding remain the most popular, there are other winter sports which tend to develop.
If snowbiking and snow mountain biking provide great sensations, the sports that the whole family can practice together remain timeless: Snowshoeing or cross-country skiing to discover nature, and of course ice skating, that the we always appreciate whatever his level.
In order for incidents related to these sports to be dealt with, they must be practiced as a leisure activity. In general, in your insurance contract, it is important to know all the exclusions related to winter sports.
In our Globe Partner contract, board sports are not covered if they are practiced professionally or during official competitions or training organized by a sports federation. Likewise, the practice of these off-piste sports is also not covered. Mountaineering, competitive tobogganing, and aerial sports are also some of the sports that are not supported. Paragliding is therefore a sport that you can only practice at your own risk.
If you wish to be covered during the practice, for leisure, in high-risk sports, you can take out our Globe Traveler contract and choose the "High-risk sports" option.
