Al Masmak ".. The most prominent features of historic Riyadh
When we hear about "Almzmk" comes to mind the main
witness on the history of the state of Saudi Arabia, when King Abdul Aziz Al
Saud, may God rest his soul and the King of his ancestors and reunited the
island under the banner of Islam after a heroic epic in the dawn of the fifth
of the month of Shawwal in 1319.
In the reign of Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Rashid (1289-1315), when
King Abdul Aziz used him as a repository of ammunition and weapons, he was used
for this purpose until he decided to turn him into a heritage teacher,
representing a stage Establishment of Saudi Arabia.
Al-Musamak is located in the north-east corner of ancient Riyadh
near the old wall (Deira currently). The western gate is the most famous of its
features, where it witnessed the fierce battle between King Abdul Aziz and his
opponents.
The building is characterized by four towers with a height of 18
meters, which is ascended by stairs and then by Muslims from the wood. In each
tower there are places to throw on the perimeter of the tower. In the center of

Al-Musamak, a rectangular room with a fireplace and a fireplace, is

In the year 1400 AH, the Municipality of Riyadh prepared a special
study for the restoration of Al Masmak. Later, the Ministry of Education
(represented by the Agency for Antiquities and Museums) in coordination with
the Supreme Commission for the Development of Riyadh City adopted a program to
transform this landmark into a museum. Early in 1416H, corresponding to 1995
under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz,
Governor of Riyadh.
Masmak is considered one of the most important tourist attractions
in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
