You refuse to pay for repairs that were not planned
When you leave your car with a garage for repairs, they must give you a repair order. This document must provide information on the vehicle deposited: mileage, type of repairs to be carried out, probable cost of interventions and foreseeable period of immobilization.
If the mechanic presents you with an invoice for repairs that you have not requested, you have the right to refuse to pay them.

On (date), I left my vehicle (make, model) in your garage. You told me (orally or by order of repair) that the failure came from such and such an origin (take back what the mechanic told you when the vehicle was dropped off) and that it would cost me around (…) euros.
When I came to pick up my vehicle, you presented me with an invoice much higher than what had been announced to me, for an amount of (…) euros, including in particular the change of (indicate the part that has been changed without your consent).
You never asked for my consent to replace this part and I never gave you my consent. I refuse to pay this amount and will only pay what was initially agreed, ie (…) euros (take back the amount initially planned).
