You renounce the contract you had taken out
You have signed a life insurance or capitalization contract. But you already regret it. You have the right to denounce it (article L. 132-5-1 of the Insurance Code). The waiver must be made by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the insurance company within thirty calendar days from the moment the consumer is informed that the contract has been concluded. The insurer must then return all the sums paid to you, at most thirty days after receipt of your letter.
The waiver period may be extended in the event of default or insufficient information (a proposal or a contract that does not include the surrender values at the end of the eight years, for example, the absence of a notice of information on the essential provisions of the contract or the insertion of an information box not in accordance with the order of 2 May 2007). In this case, the period is extended until the thirtieth day following the date of receipt of these documents, and this for a maximum of eight years from the date on which the subscriber is informed that the contract has been concluded.
